Diane Sweet

Born and raised in New York City, Diane Sweet is a performer living in Manhattan. Her training in voice, dance, theater, film/TV make her a diverse talent. She has recorded Jazz, Blues, Brazilian music, commercial jingles for international use, has performed in Paris and London, and has toured Northern Italy as a vocalist and vocal instructor.
Diane's artistic experience includes theatre in NYC and a staring roll in a CBS educational television series. Her training includes LaGuardia School of Music & Art as a vocal major, drama & voice at Herbert Berghof Studio, and dance at The School of American Ballet and The American Ballet Theatre school.
As a versatile singer and songwriter Diane has performed since childhood thus creating a vocal repertoire ranging from classic Jazz and blues, to soulful interpretations of the music of Jimmy Hendrix and Antonio Carlos Jobim, to her own compositions.
She has been compared to the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holliday and Sade. Whether performing with her own ensemble, collaborating with world class musicians, or as a featured vocalist, her sound is at once charismatic, vulnerable, and sensual. The passion of her whispers, the power behind her instrument, and her interpretation of words and melodies continues to move the listener to undeniably connect to the message of her music. With a new album in the works, this unforgettable artist continues to share her gifts.
