John Hart, a 30-year fixture in the New York music scene, is known for his ten CDs as a band leader, his prolific sideman career with over 100 CD appearances, and associations with jazz legends and contemporary artists such as Lou Donaldson, James Moody, Jon Hendricks, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Brian Blade, Chris Potter, Larry Goldings, Bob Belden, Rick Margitza, Javon Jackson, and the Maria Schneider Orchestra.
