Uri Caine’s music is a fusion of diverse influences, blending his Jewish heritage, classical and jazz training, and fascination with electronics to create innovative and challenging compositions.
Caine’s impressive career includes commissions from prestigious ensembles and orchestras, such as the American Composers Orchestra and The Beaux Arts Trio. His recent orchestral work, “Sunburst,” debuted in Palermo, Sicily, in 2016. He’s a recipient of grants from institutions like The National Endowment for the Arts and has graced stages at renowned festivals worldwide.
With over 30 albums as a leader and a Grammy® Award nomination for “The Othello Syndrome,” Uri Caine continues to push the boundaries of jazz.
